Sabinsa’s four Sami Labs manufacturing sites in India were recently audited by the licensed Certification Body, Bureau Veritas Certification Holding SAS – UK branch, and achieved Foundation Food Safety System Certification 22000 (FSSC 22000). FSSC 22000 replaces the previous ISO 22000: 2005 - FSMS (Food Safety Management System) achieved by these Sami facilities till 2018.

Patented Turmeric Extract Deemed Safe for Use in Foods and Beverages
After a comprehensive review of safety and toxicology data by an independent panel of scientists of international repute convened by Soni & Associates Inc., Sabinsa’s patented color-free Curcumin C3 Reduct® tetrahydrocurcuminoids, a metabolite of curcumin, has been found to meet criteria as Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) as per FDA’s scientific procedures.

Sabinsa Achieves USP GMP Audited Status for Three Additional Sites
Three additional Sami-Sabinsa Group Manufacturing units have been audited by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) and received GMP compliance certificates for the Kunigal unit and the Dobaspet unit, both in Bengaluru, India, and the Hyderabad unit in Telangana state, India. The company’s Nelamangala site in Bengaluru received a USP GMP certificate earlier this year. All four sites are certified Halal by The Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA) and OK Kosher, with the Kunigal and Hyderabad units NSF-GMP certified as well.
