REACH is the new European chemicals legislation. REACH stands for ‘Registration, Evaluation, and Authorization of Chemicals’. It applies to all 27 EU countries plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. It will not apply to Switzerland. Every chemical marketed in the EU in a quantity over 1 ton per year will have to be registered.
